Super personalized, comprehensive guidance can begin in the spring of 10th grade. Finding and developing a personal narrative and future academic passions is a process and takes time. Diana gives a student and their family support through the entire process with a goal toward stress reduction, student personal growth, and discovering the college where your student will flourish and thrive.

Meet monthly in person or by ZOOM to undertake the following program with your student:

Provide access and use of a professional college admission platform to stay organized, complete assignments, communicate, research colleges, and support the college search and application process.

Evaluate academic performance, then craft a high school course and activity plan to meet college admissions requirements and expectations. Explore and consider coursework beyond school, including summer programs.

Multiple monthly “to-do” assignments that will prepare your student for college applications.

Review self-assessments and In-depth discussions with your student to understand interests and goals in developing an overall admission plan, and strategy.

Evaluate interests, activities, and talents. Discuss and encourage opportunities to develop and take advantage of strengths and interests while exploring career paths and future majors.

Offer advice on standardized tests: timing, test choice, and score interpretation.

An athlete who would like to be recruited for a college sports team must be of an appropriate athletic caliber and very dedicated to their sport throughout high school. They will need to complete all the admission tasks outlined in the Comprehensive Package as well as undertake the campaign and courtship of the recruiting process. Recruitment can be for a scholarship but also without a scholarship. College athletic recruitment adds considerable requirements to the regular college admission process.
The Student-Athlete Package adds the following guidance detailed in the tasks below. The expectations, advice and work of a student-athlete are significantly greater than that of a regular college applicant.

9+ additional tasks for the athlete including:

Introduction and discussion of the range of college programs.

Research and know your program options while considering GPA and testing as well as athletics.

Collaboratively create the athlete’s college list which includes the range of performance levels and which must be suitable if an athlete discontinues their sport. 10-12 schools.
CAMPAIGN: INTRODUCE YOURSELF TO COLLEGE PROGRAMS:

Guidelines for completing the on line recruiting form and coach e mail.

Coaching and role playing for college coach conversations and interviews.

Guidelines and personal review and interpretation of communication with college coaches.
COURTSHIP: REFINING YOUR LIST, CONVINCE THE COACH AND DRAFT YOUR APPLICATION

Refine your list to your top five schools. (usual recruiting trip limit)

The Recruiting Trip: Guidelines and discussion for invitation.
DECISION AND SUBMISSION: RECRUITED ATHLETES MUST COMPLETE AN OUTSTANDING APPLICATION

The “Likely Letter” and “NLI Letter Guidelines for invitation, decision and acceptance.

Diana will coach parents and your student through the start of high school to be a more successful student and better prepared for the college admissions process.
